A new home for ODERYN

ODERYN began as a set of focused products, each at its own address. This site brings the work together in one place with two rooms: the Studio, where the projects live, and the Journal, where we publish field guides, research notes and studio updates from the work behind them.

One set of lines

At the centre of the Studio is a sphere drawn only in contour lines. It is not decoration. Each project redraws the same lines into its own form. NIMO holds a small sphere inside a wider one. HAVO settles into terraced floors, the way contour lines describe a hillside. PAVI divides into two companions. Ví Ơi stacks into a leaning column of coins.

The forms change; the lines do not. That is the idea behind ODERYN: several products, one way of working.

From the Studio to the Journal

When you enter the Journal, the lines lie down and become the ruling of a page. The Journal is quieter on purpose. It is written to be read, on any device and at any text size, and it does not depend on the sphere, on animation or on a fast connection.

If you prefer less motion, the site follows your device setting: the sphere stays still and every page works the same way.

What stays the same

The principles have not changed: life before features, evidence before certainty, local by design, and growth that has to be earned. The site is written in Vietnamese, English and Korean.
